Promonotary Warblers are sometimes called "Swamp Warblers" because they love to forage and nest above water and shorelines. That flash of yellow is so exciting to see and is where it's name comes from, their feathers are similar color to the bright yellow robes worn by papal clerks called prothonotaries.
