"Jungle Macaw" is an original one of a kind mixed media painting created by me on a cradled wood panel.
I love it when the art takes you where it wants to go. I started out this piece with layers of collaged papers and paint using stencils and my gelliplate. When I began I had a completely different vision in mind, but all of a sudden the colors and leaves began to take shape and I knew we were on a trip to the jungle! I love including birds in my painting so had to invite this majestic macaw to live here. He is created with collaged papers and finished with a few painted details. I have sealed the work with a matte fixative spray so the colors will always stay as beautiful as they are today.
