My first mixed media painting was very similar to this piece, and still a favorite! It's named in honor of my grandmother who was an amazing artist, musician and enjoyed her birds so much. I love creating new versions of these songbirds. I use vintage sheet music for their wings and tailfeathers and lots of bright colors throughout.
This original painting on a canvas panel (not a print!) looks wonderful in this white frame with glass as shown in the photograph.
