The format of these small watercolors reminds me of the old polaroid snapshots so I call this series my "watercolor snapshots".
I don't know what it is about an old door but they are so photogenic and fascinating. I have a daily creative email that I send out Monday through Friday. Wednesdays I focus on watercolor painting and asked my subscribers to help me choose a few subjects. This painting is the result of one of my challenges. I'm fascinated with forgotten places that used to be someone's home. Who planted those beautiful flowers there? Was that blue someone's favorite color? So many questions!
